The Ithaca Clay School is committed to providing a vibrant, creative space for community members to work with clay, and learn alongside fellow creatives, from local professional and emerging potters. Our goal is to foster a sense of community among students of all ages and enrich their continuing education through shared experiences around making art. Classes, workshops and shelf rentals are offered all year round.

Local business owners Tina & Tammie of Cinch Art Space have partnered with local potter and owner of Claybed Ceramics, Ed Feldman to create Cortland’s first community pottery studio, in the historic Cortland Corset Building on the city’s East Side.

Head and Heal is a certified organic hemp farm in Cortland, NY that is farmer owned and operated. They are on the cutting edge of CBD production and have a large selection of medical products on offer.

The Cinch Art Space is a multi-use venue loacted in Cortland, NY combining areas dedicated to art and craft studio, teaching, and sales. Their goal is promote local art production by increasing community exposure to those who make it, and they do this by offering classes, events, meeting space, and a permanent sales floor.

Handwork Co-op is an artist collective located in downtown Ithaca, New York.  Each time you visit the store in person, you’ll have the opportunity to meet an artist working at the front desk! Our co-op is comprised of over 30 member artisans creating a range of work that includes pottery, sculpture, woodworking, glass, jewelry, fiber, wearable art, leather, dried florals, paper goods, fine art and photography. The cooperative also carries a selection of high quality crafts and art from makers around New York and across the country.

Award winning Photographer Roger William Theise produces high quality pottery images and artwork reproduction as one of the specialties at his large commercial studio in the historic Cortland Corset Factory. Over the past 18 years Roger has attended hundreds of hours of classes with many of the top photographers throughout the United States. Roger has been the principal photographer for What's HOT Magazine since it's inception in 2012, and has taught commercial photography and lighting classes as an active member of the Professional Photographers' Societies

of New York State, Central New York, Southern Tier and Finger Lakes Chapters.

Rachel Philipson began her career as a freelance photographer in the Boston area after graduating from Montserrat College of Art with a B.F.A. in Photography. While generating creative photographic and design products for her clients, she has continued to expand her portfolio as an artistic photographer. She can be contacted at: rachelphilipson@gmail.com
